Warrior For Life 11/11/17 Miami FL
In honor of Veterans Day and all who have served, join us for Miami’s 3rd Annual Warrior For Life community yoga event at the beautiful and spacious Museum Park, situated right next to the PAMM Museum and the Frost Museum. The event will take place on Veterans Day 11/11/17 at 10 am and will feature a special yoga flow led by Judy Weaver, co-founder of Connected Warriors and a guided mindful meditation to close out the event.
The event is free to all Veterans and Military personnel with ID and $20 minimum donation for the general public. Kids under 12 are free and welcome to participate. Mats will be available. If you can't make it, no problem! You can still donate ( you select the amount ) on our Eventbrite Page.
All event proceeds will be donated equally to two non-for-profit organizations serving veterans and their families.
Connected Warriors is a national community-based volunteer organization that offers FREE Trauma-Conscious Yoga Therapy to Service members, Veterans, and their Families. Their goal is to support, improve and facilitate the well-being of Veterans, Service members and their Families in communities nationwide and overseas by providing effective wellness programs at no charge. Operation WetVet is a Miami-based organization dedicated to helping disabled veterans suffering from PTSD and TBI create new memories in a safe, calming environment centered around camaraderie and water activities. Operation WetVet is a Veteran run 501c3 nonprofit organization located in Miami, Fl and currently working on their Project Therapy At Sea Program which aim is to get Combat Veterans that suffer from P.T.S.D (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) together to enjoy a fun day of fishing and therapy along with a highly qualified counselor.
